Sunday 9th Sep

Just like to say despite the two poor results, what a day yesterday was. Thank-you to Pam and Jim from the Duke's Head and Debbie for putting on an excellant evening. I think we can safely say that everyone enjoyed themselves and I will try and get the pics uploaded onto our site ASAP.

As for the football, the 2nds despite being short of players battled really well and there were plenty of positives from the game. If we didn't have two injuries on the day to Martin and Ian we would've taken at least a point, however, that's football. Andy will be doing his match report shortly for the full rundown of the game.

As for the 1sts, I have never seen us defend so badly before. 5 comical errors for the goals, hopefully a one-off. That was our first defeat since April so we can still go into the start of the season this week confident of 3 points.

See the 1sts on Wednesday night at 7.30 at North West Kent College.

Nic and Andy will advise the 2nds on their training in due course.

Re: Sunday 9th Sep

Definately a good night - and helped to boost club funds as well so as you say Dave thanks to the Duke's head and Debbie. We are well on the way to secureing the clubs position finacially now but keep the subs and stuff coming in lads, you will start to see benifits from everyones hard work as the season goes on. There are a couple of other thank you's due, first to Martin, Having agreed to meet the cost, he is the the reason the 2nd team had a new kit to play their first league game in. Also Nev donated a couple of match balls to the club at the friendly the other week. So thanks again to everyone.
