Royal Oak v Crayford FC 14.10.07
I have been asked by the League Committee to make a full match report on our match yesterday with Royal Oak. This I have done and then there will be a full investigation into this match. I will keep you posted as to the outcome and I hope to confirm our home fixture tonight with Horton Kirby. iF there is any change I will tell you as soon as I know, hopefully the committee will reach the right outcome. As I have said to the committee this is a game of Sunday League football which should be enjoyed by players and supporters alike and not brought into disrepute. Good luck to both teams for their matches this Sunday. Debbie. |

Hi Debbie, cheers for doing this. It's been a long time since playing a team like that. You get the odd few players around the league that wanna fight rather than play football but you don't usually see a whole team act so violently, even amongst themselves. I know the referee was poor to say the least and made many bizarre decisions, but that doesn't excuse how some Royal Oak players treated them - spitting in his face for example is just wrong. As for our club, the best thing we can do is to let the league and county deal with this matter and concentrate on our next game which looks likely to be Horton Kirby CC at home. 3 points will be the aim again and hopefully we shall have Roy, myself, Jamie and Carl back to full fitness so that we can have a full squad to choose from. As for training on Weds, look out for some text messages either today or tomorrow. |

Debbie, thanks for writing the report. Bit more unnecessary time for your busy schedule sorting the Team out in one way or another ! The outcome will be interesting because as we didn't score I can't see us getting a walkover unless the League do decide to kick Royal Oak out of the cup. Very rare this happens but who knows ! Interesting replay otherwise. Keep up the good work. |
