League Meeting 7.1.08
Following last nights meeting I have to advise that Lotus have withdrawn from the league after four of their players walked off the pitch on Sunday. Russellers have also withdrawn from the league. Gary Mears has taken over as ref sec, but after Keith Wenham left, a number of refs left the league with him, we are in a positiion now where there are only probably 20 refs left that are willing to work within the league for Sunday football. As you will appreciate I have raised my concerns over this and have been advised that we are likely to have games without refs for the immediate future. We are in the process of negotiating this within the league and I will keep everyone up-to-date. Good Luck for the rest of the Season. Debs. |

Um, It's funny I said to my dad that I bet Lotus would withdraw, seen it all before too many times... that means our result is null and void. What a pity after a great effort from all the lads. Thanks Debs for keeping us informed. Also, pity about the refs but again if they don't feel as if they are being backed by certain parties they know they can referee elsewhere without as much grief. Thanks again and c u all at training or at footie on Sunday. P.S. Ben, sorry but Dave will have to take all your fantasy points away now lol ! |
