4 mile
Out west of Picher Cardin High School several miles, maybe 4 miles, is a bridge over a creek. I do not clearly identify the creek on Google maps. |

I may be wrong, but I think that was Elm Creek. We used to gig frogs in it. Jim H. |

Jim, it was both. Elm Creek was a mile west of Whitebird, and four mile was another mile or two west. |

Very interesting. It was years after I moved to San Francisco that I became aware of Whitebird being a community. I had attended Whitebird - see photos of Mr. Macs '53 class. I had fished whitebird pond (more on this later) But Whitebird was an unknown to me. I think it was during a visit when dad drove us to see the place where the big trucks were made. |
