I see Huhne is an Oxford alumni - same college as a number of others in the public eye on environmental issues - Porrit for example.
As an acedemic friend of mine once pointed out there is a saying along the lines of "You can always tell and Oxford man. But you can't tell him much."
I think this is proven if you look at those we might think of as having influence or outright power in our post-modern world.
So much for non-elitist education policies then. Things might be better if we had a few.
