Which, in the general scheme fo things, does not sound terribly confident.
Hedging their bets about 'average' temperatures of course. Am I right in thinking that the 'warming' influence of overnight cloud cover would offset the 'cooling' influence of daytime cloud cover given that much of the cloud cover is produced by weather systems arriving from the South West carried by warm air?
My wife had the electric fire on last night, though I don't think it was really that cold.
