Message:   I've just noticed a science/technology blog that genuinely is funded by Big Oil (Shell), but it turns out, somewhat ironically, to be a Green-leaning one called "The Next Generation of Energy Ideas" on Seed Media's Scienceblogs.

The contributing bloggers are a bunch of rather dubious 'experts' including William Connolley.

For those not familiar with Seed Media, there is a fairly new US science magazine called "Seed", which if I remember correctly, described itself as intending to be the equivalent of Rolling Stone magazine for science. Connected with the magazine is a stable of about 70 blogs called 'Scienceblogs'. These free blogs are given to various established science-related bloggers who catch the eye of Seed Media in some way. But as far as I can see the common denominator for all these blogs is that the blogger has a left-liberal worldview.
