Hehe!
I think I may tip the chive mix into a small pot and leave it in the garden just to see if anything, other than weeds, grows.
The flourishing pack is "Numex Twilight Chilli" apparently. Seems to be doing very nicely. Even number 2 spout that struggled with initial leaf growth is developing now, though well behind the other three successful upstarts in size. Hopefully the plants will have avoided any nasty free-loading bugs. The 'soil' is apparently approved by the 'Soil Association' so is ostensibly 'Organic' even if the seeds are not, which is slightly worrying.
The last few days here have probably been rather similar to the weather you experienced in 2006, based on my memories of that month. Just the last few days though and the forecast is that temperatures will decline during this week I understand.
I have had brief trips to Florida on business 4 times in all. The more recent ones were both in the month of May (different years). The previous trips were about 20 years ago iirc and in June and then probably July the same year. It certainly is much hotter in Florida and more humid than we normally expect to experience here in the UK at any time. I guess you were just lucky during your 2006 UK visit ... ;-))
The Bikers at the Isle of Man TT are, of course, insane. It seems to be hereditary. Just.
