stress analysis

hi friends,

I am new to stress analysis, although I have 5 yrs of experience in piping. Can anyone can help me in basics of stress analysis?

A huge topic mate. It takes years of experience to make a good stress engineer. Even then they need the piping designer to sit with them to make it work efficiently.

C = Computer
A = Aided
E = Engineering
S = Stress
A = Analysis
R = Routines

CAESAR II is a pipe flexibility analysis program, which uses 3D beam finite element analysis to simultaneously solve a piping system subject to various types of loads. It solves for displacements, forces and moments, and code stress at every node point in the system and compares the code stress to the allowable stress for whatever piping code you specify.
