P&IDs - Various piping symbols
Hello I am trying to help standardize the use of symbols for piping in our P&ID CAD system. The software allows me to define a piping symbol in many ways, some of which are: - Primary piping - Secondary piping - Primary Hose - utility, Hose - Utility, Primary and Utility,Secondary - Electric, Electric binary etc. How do I decide which option to use ... is there any standard or guideline for the use of Hose vs Utility vs Electric etc.? Sorry if its a stupid question, the thing is, i am an IT person having to decide a standard on the basis of the program! And the piping engineers don't use these english terms!
