Hope you all had ...

Hi everyone! I'm back, in not so fine shape, but I'm back!!! Very tired .. it was a hectic few days .. good to see everyone though! It would not have been Christmas without all the family!
I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Christmas!
Was Santa good to everyone? He was to us ... a few items for our trailer, including a turkey deep fryer which I am very anxious to try out! My DH got me an antique stoneware butter churn - it's beautiful! I'll try and post a pic of it this weekend!
Again, hope you all had a great Christmas!!

Re: Hope you all had ...

Glad you had a great Christmas! We did too...very busy...we've got out of state company now staying w/ us w/ kids...so my house is very active! I'm lucky if I get my orders out for the day! It's been just beautiful outside...very white. Getting lots of fog, which is very odd...but leaves the trees all white and snowy looking. I have to get out and take some pics to post! I hear everyone waking up...so, I must get moving here!

Re: Hope you all had ...

Our company left last night...so today is fairly quiet here. I thought I had to really get busy...w/ orders, but looked at the calendar, and UPS doesn't run today! They have 2 days off! So, I guess that means I do too~ Actually, I'll get started on all the orders that came in over the weekend...and shipping on Wed.
What's everyone doing for NewYearsEve? Not even sure yet here...maybe just stay home this year.

Re: We'll be whooping it up....

....tonight. There are a bunch of us going to a resort/restaurant down the road from us. (Within walking distance if necessary!!! Not a problem for me - I get silly on an extra Coke!) We have some friends that used to live here coming up and staying overnight. We used to have a big P.J. party at their house cuz they were the only ones with kids left at home. We'd play lots of games, try to solve the world's problems and as dawn approached the guys would go in a very "primitve" sauna and jump in the snow. One year we didn't get home til 4:00 in the afternoon on New Year's Day! What fun we had!!

Us old folks gotta find something to do when the kids are gone and doing their own celebrating. How are the rest of you ringing in the New Year???

Sounds like fun Crow!! Enjoy the night out!
Unlucky for me, I have come down with a case of strep throat?! Man, I am not a person that gets sick much, but in the past two months, I've managed a cold and now strep throat. So antibiotics for me, youpee!! We are going to go to a friends' house though, not sure if I'll make it to midnight or not ... we'll see! I think we'll be having a bonfire, so I am looking forward to it. Have fun everyone, and stay safe!
All the best for 2008 girls!

Re: Hope you all had ...

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well, Lynne. We are having a get together at our house, just some other couples and their children. It makes it easier for us, since we are the one with the youngest baby and she does not have to be thrown off of her schedule. I hope everyone has a wonderful new year with loads of love and good wishes.

Oh Lynne..soo sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Take good care of yourself!
Sounds like Crows have more fun!! I know you probably had more fun that I did on NewYear's Eve! We just stayed home! I've had so much going on around here, it just felt good to 'do nothing'! We did stay up until 12 though~ Last year the girls fell asleep, so this year they were determined to stay awake!

Re: Hope you all had ...

Thanks Amy/Nadine! I am feeling much better now, those antibiotics have fully kicked in!
We had a great New Year's Eve, by the fire. It was really nice. We didn't stay too long though.
Oh, sometimes quiet evenings are the best Nadine!

Happy New Year - all the best to everyone! May it be a happy and healthy year for all!
