Exciting news
Hi everyone! Hope all is well with everybody, and that the new year is going good!  I have some exciting news to share with you all - I recently applied for a new job, and got news on Friday, that I was chosen to fulfil the position!! I am so very excited - it's a wonderful opportunity for me. We are a mining town, and I will be working for the second largest mining company here. It is a substantial raise, plus I get a very nice signing bonus!  Of course the downside to all this is that I must inform my employer, train a new person, and say goodbye to all my co-workers  . That will be hard, but of course, I will make new friends at the new job too, and I will still see those who have become close friends, just not everyday!!I just wanted to share my news with everyone! Congratulations on your new endeavor, Lynne. What will your new job be? That is wonderful news and making new friends is not a bad side effect of your new job, either. LOL. Great news. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks Amy! My new position is Senior Financial Accountant - it's much the same type of work that I do currently, but on a much larger scale.

A big CONGRATULATIONS, Lynne!!!!! Finally had a moment to pop in and see what's happening out here and what a great piece of news you had to greet me. My hubby is a finance/accounting guy. You're some smart people!!!  Good luck and again....Congratulations. Gave up FFing on the computer for lent but I just couldn't stand it any longer!!!! Don;t know how well I'm succeeding but I'm trying to get my house organized.

Thanks Crow and Melissa! I am very excited to get started, but it's definitely going to be a busy March! And Crow, how could you give up fiddle-fartin' on the computer for lent???? I could never do that! Good luck getting your house organized, I'm sure you are doing a fine job!

Ok, I will cure your curiosity ... I get an $8,000 signing bonus, just for starting before the 29th of Feb!!! Can you believe that?! Watch out Nadine!! I could be doing a shopping spree~
