District 6 Wrestling Forum

Welcome to our forum. Feel free to post a message and talk about the outstanding wrestlers in District 6. We are not limited to any part of the district, so join in and post your comments!

Just remember to keep it clean and do not bash the student-athletes, coaches, and yes, even the officials!

We want to continue to make this site the best place to visit for the most informative content in District 6, and your comments and thoughts will help us to maintain those high standards!

if I feel that your comments are derogatory or just plain idiotic, you will be banned from this site without warning. This is NOT why we have this forum and if the problems continue, the site will simply shut down.

I really don't want to do that since it can be a great source of information and a great venue to share ideas as long as they are positive.

Possible End of D-6 Forum

To all forum members:

It has come to my attention that there have been several people on this forum that have been using other people's names to post threads that are not true or that were never said by that person.

This has been going on for sometime and I have banned several from the site because of this. This problem has become wide-spread and since, I do not have the time to monitor the forum on a daily basis, the only alternative to to close it down for good.

Over the next month, I will be monitoring it almost on a daily basis and if the unethical practices continue, the site will close permanently without warning. I have pleaded before to those people to stop the nonsense and to make this an outstanding forum where we can exchange thoughts and ideas and generally just talk some good wrestling, but there are always a few "bad apples" in the bunch.

Keep it clean and good-natured without offending anyone and the forum will remain open. Deviate from this and it will close.

Re: Possible End of D-6 Forum

And isn't that a shame....this is a great opportunity to exchange ideas about wrestling....or, as the one thread shows, to have some fun in the off season....but we have all noticed the problems, especially with one or two IP addresses in the last few weeks...

Yep, you shouldn't have to babysit....I agree completely....you have better things to do with your time (taking care of your partner in crime)....HA

As I say almost everyday, it only takes one or two to ruin it for the neighborhood...

OK, back to my training....never have I been so motivated by the ramblings of a few madmen!!!

Re: Possible End of D-6 Forum

rich-
could we maybe go to a member only type of message board like bfly's and you could make a few people moderators, so that the responsibility of removing posts and individuals who make the offensive post can be shared so its easier to catch these people and less responsibility for one person, i would really hate to see this forum go.

I never dreamed I would hear LB5 say he was motivated to train.

Re: Possible End of D-6 Forum

Daye-o,

I'll monitor this for a month to see if it stops. There is no need to change the format, but I could use a few "watchdogs" to inform me of things that should not be happening on here.

I can ban IP addresses if I see they are being disruptive, but the problem is that I truly don't have the time to police the forum every hour of every day or even once every day.

I don't mind the extra fun during the off season. I think that makes the forum unique, especially envisioning longball5 training or Zimmie in a lavender body suit. *Grin*

That is funny, for sure, but using other people's names and trying to disrupt things on here is totally unacceptable.

We will have to see what happens this month.

If anyone wants to volunteer to help watch over the forum and inform me, I would certainly appreciate the gesture. Just shoot me off an e-mail: richvetock@comcast.net. I will keep it total anonymous also!

Rich,

I think maybe banning IP Addresses will do the trick. I will watch out and let you know if there is any BS posts.

Re: Possible End of D-6 Forum

Rich,
I totally DISAGREE with D6 AAA fan. I think Dugan is one of the few guys on here that posts using his real name and is held responsible for his posts. I started the Champ returns from Florida post and it has over 3200 hits so far so SOMEBODY must enjoy the banter. Its like public TV.if you don't like the post THEN DON'T OPEN IT UP!!!! As in the past Rich i have contacted you over bad posts and I will continue to do so in the future. Yes we do post some nonsense and do a little nutcracking but it does help to liven up the day and keep memebers of the wrestling community in touch during a SLOW off season. And besides ,anything that encourages Longball5 to workout has to be a good thing! have a great day!!!

Re: Possible End of D-6 Forum

I have a great messenger site, thanks rich. Here's a suggestion Rich/Tom,make people join your site they would have to register:Name, password, phone #,address this would establish a trail,if anyone makes a post that is not suitable ban then from the site. One more thing $5 or $10 bucks for the year would be very reasonable considering the amount of time you have to devote to keep a good site running.

Re: Possible End of D-6 Forum

I really hope that it doesn't come down to the forum having to be shut down. I may not post all that much, but I live and die by this forum t keep me updated. Hopefully blocking the IP address will stop all the idiots!!

Re: Possible End of D-6 Forum

Anyone who has such a worthless life, that they have to come on here, and use another persons name, and make illegal slander, and pathetic banter, well; I feel really bad for them. Use your real name, post legitimately. Don't be pathetic and make things up, that makes you a sad sad individual. I feel bad for them, and hope they seek some professional help. Something must have happened to them that caused some serious trauma when they were children for them to do such a thing. I really hope they don't have kids, because who knows what they could do?
