Greatest or Most Memorable Goal

Here's a tester for you.
Will it be Platt Italia 90, Maradonna Mexico 86 or Rooney in Portugal 04 all for different reasons? It's up to you!!

Re: Greatest or Most Memorable Goal

Is it not the Brazil goal in the 1970 world cup final? Several passes from defence to attack then Pele passes to, i can't think of the scorers name, J something and he riffles it in to the keepers bottom right hand corner, quality!

Re: Greatest or Most Memorable Goal

Willie Carr's donkey kick has to be the winner. It changed the rules of the game and is a perfect example of why we should all practice set pieces on the training ground.

Re: Greatest or Most Memorable Goal

What about Gazza against Scotland at Euro 96? or Giggs against the old Arsenal in the FA Cup Semi Final ? or even Justin Fashunu for Norwich against Liverpool ? just maybe it could be John Barnes against Brazil, do you remember ?

No way it has to be Will "Lampard" Barnes Lads v Dads 1/1/2006. He beat 19 players and smashed it home from 36 yards, what a finish.

Jake Salmon

A spectacular half volley from outside the box that went into the roof of the net. This wonder goal allowed Brinklow to qualify for the knock out stages and they went on to win the tournament.
