Our new Club Mascot Needs a Name!
Sky Blue Sam is now really busy with Cov City so he can't attend our presentation nights anymore, but he's asked his cousin to help out. We are sorting him out a new Brinklow Kit but while we are waiting he said he wants the lads to think of a new name. He quite likes 'Brinklow Bill', but can you think of any others? Post your ideas below. At the end of January we'll gather all the ideas together & have a vote to decide the new name!!

You all may or may not know that Brinklow Football Club has been in existence in one form or another for nearly 100 years.In that time the name of the football club has changed from time to time due to various reasons ie sponsors and where the teams were based(White Lion,Raven,Dun Cow). The football Club as we now know it was reformed back in 1988.Paul "Eddie" Edmunds along with quite a few other Brinklow lads were all working at the same company,Furigas,and Eddie and a few of us all formed a 7-a-side team up at Rugby Sports Centre just for a laugh.After winning our respective division Eddie and Bolty decided to approach our MD to see if Furigas would be willing to sponsor an 11-a-side football team for the following season and Ron Chatterway our Club President,still today,agreed.Furigas Brinklow Football Club was born with Eddie the manager and our home games played at Barr Lane or Barr Lane Stadium as Eddie used to say. Anyway to cut a long story short,Eddie passed away in the 90s but to allow to keep his name and dream alive,Bolty and me decided to try to form a Junior section of the club,which as we all know is where we are as a club today. I just thought it would be fitting to continue to keep Eddie's involvement with the club and name the mascot after him. Hence, "Eddie the Elephant". |

Soz forgot about this - OK, here are the options vote for the one you like:- Brinklow Bill rudolph the red nosed deer danielle deer Barry "The bear" 'Barr'ney the bear Eddie the elephant Please take into account that our mascot is actually an elephant so I'm not sure he would like being called a deer!
