My Father
Hi anyone out there that knew my father Everett F. Pokorney? he served on the Benjamin Stoddert DDG-2. I would love to hear from you. My father was in the navy for 20 years so growing up we didn't really have a lot of time with him and he passed away in 1982. He retired in 1973. I think he was a boatsmate first class whatever that means. I know there has to be someone out there that knew him. Please get in touch with me if you do, it would really be appreciated. Hi Ellen, I am Gilman Lincoln and served with your father from 1970 to 1972 I was a Gunners Mate. Your Dad was a 1st Class Boatswain Mate when I knew him. We were not close friends but on a ship as small as the Stoddert, we pretty much knew everyone. He was always friendly and would talk about anything you wanted. I looked through my cruise book just now and reminisced about the good days with my shipmates. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane. Thanks, Gilman |
