term of office
something to think about I was just thinking, yes it hurt, about the meetings of the past reunions. We seem to spend quite a bit of time electing officers, or confirming them for another year. I would submit we all consider 2 or 4 yr term if we stay on the annual schedule and 3 or 6 year term if we go to 18 mos. as has been discussed before.this would be 2 or 4 reunions per term. This will keep us from inventing the wheel every reunion and may make things go smoother/faster at the meetings. If you plan to attend the reunion and /or the meeting be ready as I will officially propose this action there. |

Thats a good idea Bill. I missed the last reunion but made the first two. I think it would give the responsable parties something to look forward to. I know Herm enjoyed the job but it takes a lot of time and it would allow people to make future plans. |

We may want to consider "rotating the chairs". Everyone on the board moves up a notch, and we only elect one new member every meeting. That makes it easier for bank signatures for the treasurer's position. |

Lou, I am for anything that will make the club run smoother. Not sure how changing the treasurer , and thereby the authorized signator, every year will make it easier at the bank but I ain,t reel smart at biznus, sew maybe ewe ar cerrect. Either weigh it is good to see some interest and discusion on a very important subject ( the operation of the ass.) Thanks for the input. Maybe this will stimulate more discussion prior to the meeting. Bill |

Due to the extremely high level of interest in this matter, I retract my statement of proposing any length of terms. This post has been up for 4 mos. and only two people even had a thought and it is only 2 mos. till the meeting. I hope the meeting goes well, I won't be there. |
