Spring in Horspath
'Pathians left behind by their Barbados touristas were shocked to wake up to three inches of snow on Sunday 6th April. While the touristas are limbo dancing, sipping rum punch and lounging around the barbie in Bermuda shorts, the rugged up burghers of Horspath have been seen with snow shovels clutching mugs of cocoa and mumbling something about "should have gone to Barbados". Early reports confirm that the nets and sight screens have survived the overnight blizzard. Sunday afternoon nets will be on ski's and snowshoes. Metrologists have reported that the sudden snowfall was caused by carbon emmissions from a Virgin airliner struggling to get airborne at Gatwick airport yesterday. Marvellous! |
