Mands IP: 82.38.72.108 Jan 20, 2005 - 11:14AM	Foot tattoo! Hi guys, do any of you know of any good sites where I can check out foot tattoos? Wanting to get one but not entirely sure what to have! Also, to any of you that have had one on the foot just curious as to how bad the pain is? I've got 2 on my back and one on my wrist already and I can't say they hurt all that much! Don't be frightened of putting me off cos you won't I want it that much that no amount of pain would be unbearable! Also after my foot tattoo I'm going for my stomach - again how's the pain for there? Thanx! Where are you located? West Yorks

Mands.....foot tattoos are pretty painful yeah.....I guess you could say they are similar to hand tattoos but I don't take it you have any? .....yes it's a bit harder to get the ink to stay in so touch-up(s) might be needed.....wrist inside or outside btw?.....I've seen good foot tattoos though (and done a few myself) so I don't see any reason why you shouldn't get one.....whatever you do don't bother with your toes though.....that IMO is a total waste of time as you probably be needing touch-ups the rest of your life the ink doesn't seem to want to stay in there AT ALL! hope that helps and good luck darlin' Where are you located? inked108 IP: 81.78.55.21 Jan 20, 2005 - 2:54PM	Re: Foot tattoo! regarding belly tattoos it seems to depend from person to person.....a few months back I had a 3 1/2 hour belly/ribcage piece done and I thought it was definately 'different'! .....mind ya that was 3 1/2 hours though and part of my ribcage was involved as well.....ya just gotta be careful with (or more likely NOT!) 'jumping about' as a lot of ppl do! .....LOL.....sometimes it's kinda involuntary though and you're not really aware of it.....anyway again good luck hun! Where are you located? Scotland

Realityescapesher IP: 69.193.140.6 Mar 22, 2005 - 3:35AM	Re: Foot tattoo! hey i have a little rose on the top of my foot, and i have a tatto on my lower back too when i got my foot done last summer they told me i didn't need to worry about the sun as long as i cleaned it before i went out and put AT LEAST spf 30 sun block on it. so if your willing to do that before you go out everytime it should be fine. My wife has her hand and a tattoo just behind her ear and they have not faded either.As long as good colours are used and the ink is put in atleast two times there will be no problems. Just one thing is if u have to wear shoes then may be wait until u go on holiday as even wearing flip flops i had problems with wearing of the colours in the first week or so. Just bear that in mind before doing it england and dont get both feet done at once cuz u will have a few problems walking for a couple of days!! Where are you located? Thailand

Just remember if u have to wear shoes the colour will rub off in the first week or so, so just bear that in mind. On the other hand come to Thailand for a holiday and u will have no need to wear shoes!! The sun will not fade the colour as both my feet r in the sun everyday and i have no fading what so ever. If it is in the area where the skin is similar to that on the sole (roughly 1 inch up from the curve of the sole) it WILL fall out,and rapidly- if it is done where the skin becomes normal, as long as it is applied by an experienced tattooist and treated gently while healing it should be fine.

Hey guys I've really wanted to get a tattoo of a swallow (about 2in long) on my foot for ages, but ive started hearing things like the dye fades quickly and so forth. I dont want to end up with a blob on my foot, so is this true? If so, how often would i need touch ups? and what do they tend to cost? Next i would like to move onto my foot, but the only problem is that i work at a bank, and i cannot wear flip flops. haze IP: 217.41.54.238 Jul 24, 2005 - 12:26AM	Re: Foot tattoo! tattooist and have foot done, yes as said above can be a pain in the ass to do but my main consern (please excuse the spelling too many vodkas later) is how people look after it! a new tattoo needs air, like any wound it is open to infection, its important to keep it clean, your tattooist will go through the after care with you, i would but am gettin that way that my bed is calling to me and i have to be up with the wee lad in the morning! not my turn for a sleep in!

My wife is thinking of having a Lily with leaves and I am thinking of having a Gecko. (If anyone has heard of Jimmy Buffett he also has one on his back) but I am a bit concerned about fading. Does anybody know roughly how long they would last without touch ups? As I live in England I am going to have to wear socks and shoes has anybody got any ideas on this? We are having it done on a Friday so at least we have got the weekend to not wear shoes and socks. Any advice would be gratefully received. As it was covering a large area on the front of my foot and around the ankle it swelled up, and i was unable to walk for a day or so! But a small price to pay for the end result! I had ice at the ready to help, so it wasn't as bad as you may think! It hasn't put me off, and that was actually my fifth tattoo, i designed myself! Where are you located? London

Hi, I just got two tattoos on each of my feet, one I got a week and a half ago, one I got 3 days ago, one is almost compltely healed the other is scabbed up and should start peeling soon. on the one that is already healed, some of the areas has faded color already, the artist said shed touch up for free, she also said alot of it is because the skin is healing over it and the colour should return in a while. once she puts colour in the faded areas, will this be the end of my colour issues? she also told me thatI can wear shoes as soon as 4 days after I originally get the tattoo thanks.
