A graveside service for Glenda Howell Barnett, 71, will be Sunday, June 17 at 3:00 p.m. in Greenhill Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Ralph Barrow officiating. She passed away June 14, 2012 at her residence. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Childersburg. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Wayne Barnett. She is survived by her son, Tim (Carla) Barnett of Childersburg; daughter, Sonya (Greg) Galloway of Childersburg; brother, Gary Howell of Birmingham; sister, Mildred McGuire of Sylacauga; grandchildren, Emily Barnett, Hannah Galloway, Andrea Barnett, and Joshua Galloway. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:30-8 p.m. at Curtis & Son Funeral Home, Childersburg Chapel. Pallbearers will be Greg Galloway, Joshua Galloway, Ken Dupree, Jerry Jennings, Rick Howell, and Dan Howell.
