Theres alot more going on behind the scenes with motorex atm. Its going to be a totaly differant show with totaly differant categories and judges by the sounds of it. The asrf have nothing more to do with motorex and it looks like theres a squable going on over the name custom auto expo. Interesting and sad non the less. All sydney needs is to lose another big show.
From what I am told and if you look at the MotorEx website, this years event will be a one off special event. I believe that they are trying to get their SuperStar winners from the last ten years [if they still exist] to show at this years show as it is the 10th anniversay of Meguiar's involvment with MotorEx.
The Thunderbird Club use to organise the American Section and they are not included in this years show. Don't know about the Hot Rod clubs involvment if any. Meguiar's have employed an Event Company to organise the show for them - I believe it is the same company that ran last years MotorEx. Hell of a lot of politics went on during and after last years show. My own personal thoughts that the show had lost a lot of integrity -
Will be interesting to see what is the outcome of this years show.
