Thanks for this list it is really useful. Only thing I'm not sure of is 'red dot' would that be flagging abnormality only if it is visible on radiograph? What about pre-existing conditions visible would they be red-dotted?
At my rcent job we never had a red dot system per say; if I was worried about something I contacted the referrer straight away and submitted for urgent reporting by a radiologist. I flagged a chest abnormality which turned out to be a haemathorax and the patient was returned to theatre pretty sharpish.
The job involves a minor injuries department that has just been put onto PACS, so image-sharing will also help in cases of concern.
I guess 'red dot' is a system to follow and as such there should be a 'right way' to do this? What is the system at your place please?
