Hey there my fiat punto's power steering is playing up and Iv'e been advised before taking it to a garage to have ir repaired and cost me a lot of money that i should check the power steering old level but i have no idea where this oil tank is, can anyone help me?

What Punto is it. I ask this because a mk1 will have normal fluid power steering but from mk2 will have electric power steering with no fluid

It is very common for mk2 power steering columns to play up we replace alot at work

As its a mk one check the fluid. I think it will be in a small tank at the rear of the engine bay. It should be labelled.

One level checked and topped up - with the engine running turn the steering wheel several times lock to lock - this should shift any airlocks. also check for any leaks underneath.

If this doesn't fix it - does the power steering pump sound noisy?
