Subject: Fiat Panda


My wife has recently purchased a Fiat Panda (first registered September 2006). Unfortunately the aerial catches on the garage door. Is it possible to buy a shorter aerial (needs to be three inches shorter) or would it be alright to modify the existing one by simply bending it at right angles three inches from the top (of course) please? Unlike some, the radio does not work at all without the aerial.

Can you offer a solution please?

Hi Jo,

There are loads of aerials advertised on Ebay. A cheap solution & simply screw into the original fitting - eg item number 370156719084. That one is probably short enough, but various different types are on there.

Will Graham look on here, or does he need to be emailed direct?

Thanks for that Gavin. I will send him this answer in case he doesn't refer back to here. Tom was surprised that the aerial on the Panda didn't 'rachet' down as it does on the Punto.
