I run a company that produces sound effects for video games. We are recording a stack of different cars over the next few weeks for a new project. Among the list of engine types we have to find is a raspy 4 cylinder, something like a 500 Abarth / Mito.

Modern 4 cylinder cars are way too muted for what you want.

Anything from the 70's with a Fiat twincam in will do. Or a Strada Abarth.
