As you probably know, the Club is able to liaise with Fiat to obtain build dates for imported cars & those with registration issues. As far as I know we are the only Fiat Club able to do this for DVLA purposes.

Tom who does this, has had a significant number of these recently, and they take a great deal of his time. As well as remembering that these checks do take some time (liaising with Italy is not always immediate), please bear in mind that Tom is a volunteer & is not always contactable if he is away or has family commitments.

For clarity, the Club's policy is as follows:

* A full member of more than 1 year's standing is entitled to 1 free dating letter from Tom. Long standing members may be entitled to a further reduced fee dating letter, at the Committee's discretion.

* A full member who has just joined (i.e. Less than a year) is entitled to a reduced fee for this service. Currently this is £50 for the 1st dating letter.

* A non member will be charged £100 (currently) for each dating letter needed.

* All 2nd and subsequent dating letters cost £100 currently, whatever the class of membership. Businesses joining under different names, are still only entitled to 1 free or reduced cost dating letter - if bulk dating is required Tom may be able to discuss a small discount.
