The Swan Boat Club Auxiliary is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Saturday May 4th from 4pm to 7pm, to help the victims of the tragic accident that occurred on 04/20/24. We will also have basket raffles and 50/50 with our portion being donated. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to victim relief.
We are taking cash donations (we also have venmo and zelle, message the page for that information). We are asking for basket donations to raffle off, and gift cards for the victims. We have a few locations you can drop baskets off, or you can drop them at the club when its open, you can bring them to the event as long as they are there by 4pm the day of the event or we have someone willing to pick them up. Message the page for details of drop off locations or pick up.
This event is open to the public. Please share so we can get all the victims some relief.
We also understand its derby day, so wear your best derby attire.
We were originally going to have it open to the public, but got such an overwhelming response (thousands of people) that we realized we can't accommodate that large of a crowd and changed it to AYC, members and their guests only. Public can donate still and can drop off baskets or gift cards.
I think a nice gesture, if Swan would make this night an alcohol-free night at Boat Club in honor of the two children and all those that were hurt. Let's prove that alcohol doesn't have to be the center of all occasions.
