I've got the CD with all the music from the movie. If you're going to be at Lloyd's on the 28th, I'll bring it and you can have it. That wasn't George Clooney doing the singing, though. That was Dan Tyminski. He's in Alison Kraus's band, Union Station. George Clooney just pantomimed.
You all are so smart...I can't even remember what I ate for breakfast and you remember, jingles, movies and actors etc. all those years back...I am so impressed.
Thanks Pete for the offer but we live 180 miles from Birmingham and are laid up with the Crud. We went and got some more cough medicine and other meds this evening and are back being hermits again.
Jimmy, get to scrounging if you will, I really want that CD.
Live and learn, Pete, I thought ole George was singing that song. Karen, my e-mail is slow as grass growing but I'll check it again to see what you sent.
Oner just had a great idea for the mignon reunion. The MVBs like Lathan and Pete to bring their gitars and pick and grin at the reunion if we could persuade them to perform, if not we could have a pick and grin session at pool side like we did before, after the reunion or the night before. What y'all say?? MVB ES
Marilyn, didn't mean to leave you out, I agree, we have some of the best talent and smarts on this forum. Pete is a real find, no wonder, he's almost kin to me. MVB ES
YaHoo!!! Lathan's got a pard to entertain us this summer. Thanks Pete, Oner said your whole family played music. Is that right?
Karen, No it didn't clog my puter, I've been playing the song over and over. Couldn't get it to copy on CD but got it on my playlist. Thanks so much. MVB ES
So glad you got the song from Karen. We also have the CD of the songs in the movie. I'm like Karen, I like Down in the river to pray. I don't usually let Ed spend on CD's but I even went and got that one. We wore it out right after the movie and I don't know if I can find it or not but we will see that you have one...........Trish

This is my City address, I don't get mail yet at the camp and have made it hard for visits from grand kids,(14 miles one way)
Don't care where it comes from, long as it gets here. Thanks again, MVB ES
I don't know where mine is, so I'll do like Jimmy, I will defer to Cubby. I know I work in this house but it still stays turned up side down. It is getting harder for me to find things. Glad you are going to get to hear the whole CD, ES. ..........Trish
Was that the name of the ole black woman that use to sell parched peanuts at the ballgames? That sure was good eating. I had to get someone else to go get mine because Mr. McKelvy wouldn't let us leave our seats after we had marched in. Didn't the band sound impressive marching under the stadium with the drummers just tapping the drum sticks on the side of their drums and the metal taps on the shoes clicking away.
Zona
The same one, Zona --- knee boots and jodphurs, or whatever those "riding breeches" were called. I guess she wore them twenty-four hours a day for as long as she lived. She could carry a watermelon around on her head all day, too.
