I can't believe I ate the whole thing!, I can't believe I ate the whole thing!
Two big bowls of Oner made beef stew, 5 slices of corn pone, and a big helping of peach cobbler. I didn't eat the whole thing but my son, grand daughter, her boyfriend, and my grandson did. We're glad they enjoyed it tho. They don't get to eat Oner's cooking very often.
If I had some of Jimmy's famous mexican cornbred, it would have set it off.
I'm not much on cracklin cornbread tho, or hand slung, stump whupped chittlins.
I'll leave them to somebody else.
My son wouldn't let me go to Selma tomorrow, the jobsite is a mud mire and I'd have to walk a good ways in it. I'm really not up to it anyway, maybe when they go to New Orleans I can go.
Good morning Karen, I know you'll probably be the first to read this so I'll count it as in the morning.
Have a great day! MVB ES

Good Morning everyone. Sitting here while my coffee is brewing trying to get the morning started. I'm not an early morning gal. Not a late evening gal either though... Guess I'm good at about 10:00am.
I'm ready for spring too...But, we are having some trees with blooms right now and I'm afraid that the cold weather isn't over yet. Seems like this happens and they get nipped. I remember a past ice storm in April. But, the hummingbirds should be coming in about a month.
Have a great day!
Lathan, You'll have contact a hummingbird hunter's wife for the recipe. The tongue part reminds me of childhood memories. Before Comer built a lunch room we had to brown bag it. Mama used to fix us cow tongue sandwiches, but I just couldn't imagine eating something that came out of an animals mouth, I told her to just fix me two or three boiled sggs. MVB ES
