hi.Does any one have any early vidios/dvds of any of the early tattoo conventions????
I remember the old ones and i recall that there was a guy going around the early conventions with a camcorder filming the avents and then selling them the following year at the next convention,i used to have a few but no longer have them and i would like to buy a copy for old time sake,I remember one i think it was buxton feturing the late Ron ackers.
Those good old days are long gone, tattoo conventions now are a breeding ground for wannabes,i was at doncaster this year and the amount of old school artists were limited i felt as if i was a new commer to the game it was a breath of fresh air seeing George bone and his lovely wife Pat(HI George & pat)also Lal (HI Lal)always good to see them.
So if any one has any old footage that they could sell me i would be over the moon

Hi Gary - its good to see you are still flying the flag mate - Yes it was old Albert Beck who did the 'Artists of GB' video's and some of our club conventions (I say ours...Lionel's and Jenny's really...but hey - we are all in it together ain't we) - The tape with Ron on - was (Lionel's) Buxton 84 and it was the show Ed Hardy came over and worked at -If you are going to the London Tattoo convention pop in and see me at the history booth and I'll have a dvd for you with a few bits and bobs on...Buxton 84 ect - If not send me your studio address in Margate and I'll get it in the post for you...Cheers for now mate.

Hi Gary - Just seen your post - I've done you the Buxton tape (dvd) - and the short film about the Great Omi and a few other bits and bobs (Ed Hardy ect ect)- I've some other convention footage from Dunstable back in the 90's and when I get time I'll run them off for you...Cheers for now mate and all the best...Paul.

Hi Paul i just saw your post about old vintage video footage from the expos back in the day ...i recently found a 1991 vhs video of dunstable that year ive looked online to see if there are any other copies around but could see none ,i think i bought my copy from wildcat in brighton back then though i am not 100% on that ,or it may have been put together by somone else lots of great footage of tattooing and the whole show any ideas who has a copy or made this video ...on the lable it is simply typed tattoo 1991 Gary
