I particularly enjoyed the gravestone project because I found a number of my ancestor\'s gravestones featured. In particular the Williams and Farrow families. The Easton family is also a connection. My gg grandmother was originally Hannah Williams and she married William Starling and they lived in Aylsham until their deaths. Hannah made a sampler in 1830 which I have.

Making a virtual visit to the home of the ancestors of a friend. Will be touring the fen area next month with the Dorothy L. Sayers society. Looking forward to angel roofs, village clocks, sluices, etc., etc. I may not be able to visit St. Agnes this trip but enjoyed the online version.

My family lived at Cawston Manor from 1953 thru 1955. My father was stationed at RAF Sculthorpe while it was a US Air Force Base. I truly enjoyed my time living at the Manor and knew the McDougal family. I would like to find Quinton McDougal if anyone knows where to locate him please let me know or send Quinton my email address. Thank You.

My mother, Jill Warren, was evacuated to Cawston Manor during the war. She was being treated for TB, and remembers horrible food and a visit from parents only once every 2 months.

Hi

I am desperately hoping that someone reading this might be able to help me, I have a long line of Allen ancestors in Norfolk (Swanton Abbot, Hevingham and Cawston). I have been able to trace the Allen family all the way back to Cawston where a John Allen and Mary (surname unknown) are said to have been born in Cawston. An old family tree states that John was born in Cawston abt 1772 and Mary in Cawston abt 1775. They had several children Henry born 1802 and died in infancy, James born 1804, Stephen born 1805 (also died as a baby), another Henry in 1807 (died in infancy) and Laura (died in infancy) in 1809. Using online resources I have been able to find the births/deaths of all the children but I cannot find the birth of either parent, John or Mary? Nor can I find their marriage? I would really love to be able to continue my tree and would also like to know if there are still any Allens' in the Cawston area. I would be very grateful for any help at all. Many thanks, Gemma

I have several relatives buried in Cawston Cemetary and wondered if any one has a plan of the Cemetary. At one time there was one in a notice Board by the entrance.
