Friendly reminder:
All club dues must be paid in full on or before January 1st of each year to retain membership in
good standing. Members with a hardship may appear before the Board of Directors for an
extension
Members who do not pay their annual dues and fees on or before January 1 of the current year
shall lose all rights and privileges of Swan Boat Club. They will be removed from the current
membership roster and if he or she possesses a door card, it will be erased forthwith. The
delinquent dues can be paid with a late fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) prior to February
1st to reinstate the member in good standing and reactivate their key card.
The treasurer shall inform the Commodore of the delinquency on or before January 3rd, who
shall direct the secretary to mail a warning letter to the delinquent member prior to January
8th
. The letter shall advise the member of the following:
1. The treasurer did not receive your payment of dues and fees as invoiced on or before
January 1.
2. You are hereby suspended of all privileges of the club.
3. You may submit an appeal in writing to The Board of Directors if there are extenuating
or mitigating circumstances or a reason the payment was not received, such as the bank
or the post office hindered the payment, with proof(s) included.
4. Payment in full with the late fee of twenty-five dollars ($25) must be received before
February 1st or you will lose your SBC membership and seniority.
5. Once membership is revoked, you must submit a new member application and follow the
membership process as described in the Constitution and By-Laws, if you desire to be a
member of SBC.”
6. If payment is not received on or before February 1st and you paid any or all of a dock fee
for this year, that amount will be refunded to you
