Wonderful Becky, absoulutely wonderful and every word of it pure truth...I can still see my granny Easterling doing everything you mentioned and probably a couple more. She's been gone 55 years but she is as much alive in my aging old head and heart as she ever was.
Becky, that was such a heart warming piece. I really enjoyed it. Did you compose it ? I'm like Horace, I remember my mom with her apron on. She never owned a fancy apron, just one made out of flour sacks. Those ladies of that age were real genuine ladies. My mom made a lasting impression on all of us kids. Her apron was a part of her.
