My tale............
In the 7th grade under B. A. Smith I would walk home on Alabama Ave. each day for lunch.
For a few weeks before returning to school I would go in the bedroom and get a nickel from my bank and return to the auditorium and buy a coke for Sarah Chaffin. She would say thank you and that was all. I think she liked Slick Nelson. Sarah didn't graduate with us.
