Why do geese "honk" while in flight?

Finally, after MANY hours thinking about it, I think I finally have it figured out

See, what it is is that the geese are REALLY PO'd at each other about something, and they're saying stuff like:

"Go HONK yourself!"

"Yeah? Well, I got your HONK right here, you HONKity-HONK-HONK!"

...and the thing is, you only hear the ONE word that they EMPHASIZE.

I think so Jimmy, One thing I do know is the bird in the rear is in real trouble after they visit a bean field. Reckin that is what he is honking about?
