Oh, what to do????

I just happened to have some frozen spinach in the freezer...should I toss it too??? I just knew my MVB would know just what to do. I know people that are authorities on all subjects but didn't want to bother them.

Re: Oh, what to do????

Marilyn, if you're gonna toss it, would you PLEASE toss it out this way. I'll pay to overnight it by UPS, and if you'll toss in a couple of quarts of home-scraped fresh white corn, I'll throw in an extra twenty bucks. How 'bout it? LOL

SERIOUSLY, I ate fresh spinach YESTERDAY at Luby's Cafeteria. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS COOK IT!

...but surely you know that...right?

Take care,
Jimmy

Re: Re: Oh, what to do????

From a retired inspector......when in doubt, throw it out.

Re: Re: Re: Oh, what to do????

From a retired teacher who knows something about pasteurization: If you BOIL it, there is no WAY it can hurt you!

The only people who have been sickened ate RAW SPINACH!

Does it make ANY sense to throw out perfectly good food?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Oh, what to do????

Now you two have me concerned and I don't have any spinish. If there was any doubt or suspision that it was bad I'd chunk it. On the other hand I've ate Polk salad and it is well known for being poison, you just have to be careful how you prepare it. Here I am getting splinters from straddling the fence. Think I'll take a nap. MVB ES

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Oh, what to do????

E.S., I would GUARANTEE you this:

If you ate spinach grown in a freaking SEPTIC TANK after BOILING it for at least ten minutes, it ABSOLUTELY would not hurt you at ALL!

Fact is, we used to pick ripe tomatoes that had grown in the "sludge pile" outside the "sh*t factory" below Walco, and they were just fine.

Har! Har! Har!

I agree, and Catfish are the buzzards of the river but mighty fine eating. But don't try to get my Bro Paul to eat rice in any form, boiled or fried. He was in Korea in the army. I dare not ask him why either. ES
