Ivy, despite Auburn's 4 game winning streak vs Bama since 2002, the Tide still leads the series (37-31-1).
If Tubby's team beats 'em again this season, which should be the case from my point of view. I'm not sure, but I think that will be a record streak for Auburn in the series if Auburn makes it 5 in a row this year. Auburn beat Bama 4 in a row back in '55, 56, 57 & 58.
The longest streak Bama has on Auburn is during the "wish-bone" era. Alabama beat Auburn 9 straight years from 1973-1981. During the wishbone years, (1971-1982), Alabama's record was something like: (123-18-1).
I dont have the figures in front of me at this time and I going off memory (which aint good) but prior to 1983 (or there abouts not sure of the exact year), Al beat the slop out of Auburn. Since that time, Auburn is ahead of Al by 1 or 2 games. can't remember exactly the year or the counts, but I think I am right in that statement.
