Re: Re: Re: Re: A little perspective

Trish, I did qualify my remarks by saying 'except high school coaches'....... believe me when I say I know that people in education are grossly underpaid, even the coaches. In my 30 odd years of teaching, I was always waiting to 'catch up' with others in my own profession. I also have to say that some university folks are over paid, especially the ones in administrative positions. I won't complain too much though, because my teacher retirement income plus social security plus my own savings for retirement give me enough money to do just about anything i could possibly need or want. But even with that said, I was never paid what I think I deserved. Most hard working folks would feel the same way, in my opinion. One of the best characteristics we all got from our upbringing was a strong work ethic. We all should be thankful for that.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Little Bobby Walker

Folks! It ain't money. If you planted a mustard seed in a student - of whom you may never know his outcome - you have done your mission in life. The rewards are there but you may not know it until you get to Heaven. The secret lies in doing the best you can at the time. Money is not an issue.
