Looking Back Over My Shoulder

I saw online that the Mignon Reunion will be held July 8.
We did not get a notice this year..I guess somehow they knew we were not going.

However, I will be looking back over my shoulder to the area, events of the past, folks of earlier years, etc.

Please,if you attend the reunion and take photos of all the "old folks"..post some of them on this forum.

No matter where I travel in this life...Sylacauga is in my rear view mirror.

Re: Looking Back Over My Shoulder

I don't recall being told that either Don. Where, online, did you find that?

Chuck:

I believe it was a related website to WYEA Radio...an announcement by Dicky Bivin.

Re: Looking Back Over My Shoulder

The Mignon Reunion announcement was on Sylacauga News.com

Re: Looking Back Over My Shoulder

Thanks Don. Don't know when this was posted online, but "The cost is $20 per person and reservations must be received by June 24. NO payments will be accepted at the door." pretty well settles that!

Thanks for your help.
Maybe another time, huh?

Re: Looking Back Over My Shoulder

I sure hope this grand inclusive reunion has not become a "Mignon Click"
gathering. Or,is the organization in need of help?

Myself and others have reached out in the past with ideas that might sustain the reunion...those voices went unheard.

Either way,it's sad to see such an important link to the past become a ghost of our past.

Re: Looking Back Over My Shoulder

I just back from GAY Paree. Saw parade that took that term to a whole new level. We did have a good time after the first two days when the temp hit 99 and 100 degrees respectively. Got home on Tuesday. We had two recent trips to Maryland and my/our travels are on the shelf for awhile. I am too pooped to pop. I did get a very attractive invitation/announcement via snail mail. Gonna miss seeing Don's favorite story teller and dining partner.
