Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

I think most of us thought it was TED TURNER!!

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Hey, I have not been gone that long. I thought you would still remember me. I
don't know Ted but he must be a pretty good fellow. He seems to know a lot of
your good friends. DRP

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Dear DRP

You are right...the Ted I know is a good boy and worthy of remembrance.
Since I did not get to visit with him at the Mignon Reunion..it would be my pleasure to have a sit-down with him in Sylacauga at a cheap fast food spot.

Thanks Donald Ray. This seems to be your first ever post. Welcome anytime. By the way, from a retired IT guy, if you really want to fool 'em, learn how to spoof an IP address. That will convince most of this forum's participants.

Take care sir, and WAR **** EAGLE

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

My,my what a crowd. Been a long time since so much has been said about the return of an old Twin st(actually Maryland ave)buddy. So good to get this much reaction. Very refreshing.

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Horace speaking of Twin St. I made a trip down though the
mill village the other day and rode over to Dairy land.
They are not much left of it. They are a few houses left
on the left side of the circle. It brought back a lot of
memories. Playing football in that circle it look a lot
smaller than it use to. Every thing has changed. When I
ride though the village I don't look at what it looks
like now i see the way it was when we were growing up.
Take Care.

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Ted: Did you ever in your imagination think anything in Mignon could look like it does now?

I think I understand why you still see it as you knew it years ago. Glad we have our memories!

Also, did you have your car doors locked as you drove through the area?

When I lived at Cooper Field Circle..we had no car and had no locks on our doors!

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Hey Ted,

Good to hear from you. I hate to kill this thread, which happens when I reply, but we've not heard from you in quite sometime. Hope all's well for you and yours and we'll know 'bout our Tigers this Saturday!

Take care,
Chuck

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Chuck i am ready for some football. I have heard a lot of talk but I am ready
to see what they can do. We will find out the first game what they got. You
don't never know till they play a game. War Eagle

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Chuck I will let you know how our B.B. Comer Tigers come out
Friday Night. They are playing Winterboro.

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Chuck, B.B. Comer come up a little short Friday night.
They lost 24 to 18 but playing hard. They are young and
it is going to take a while to build a good football team.
Ted

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Ted;

Just wondering......
While attending a B.B Comer game..does it feel like what you remember years ago?

Is there a strong fan base for the team in attendance?

Does the band march down the field with pride?

What about a great half time show?

Do you feel safe while attending a high school football game?

How do current coaches stack up with those you knew?

Re: Mignon Reunion 2019

Wow, 18 points Ted. That's as many as they scored the last 3 games I attended! I'll do my best to get to a game this season. I admit, I was concerned with the level of enthusiasm that I saw. Most of the young fans spent more time on their phones than watching the game. Times change, I guess. I talked a classmate of mine into going to the game and we should have left at halftime. So glad to hear they've turned the corner.

Take care,
Chuck
