I am looking for a old fiat panda as a donor car so that i can fix my panda as she is getting a bit old, Can any one help me ?

Well i kinda need the drivers side door and passanger side door as they are on there way out.
I would also like a manual gear box as mine is auto at the mo and its not ver good,
Plus I do need some tyres.
But apart from that she is in good nick

Hi kirsty, there seems to be a whole load of people looking for gearboxes for panda selecta's at the moment, must be something in the air !! If you do want to swap it over to a manual gearbox, it is quite a lot of work, you need loads more stuff than just the box, you also need driveshafts, different ECU, pedal box and I think its mounted differently, so if I was you, it will probably work out easier getting the box reconditioned.
Panda's for spares seem few and far between now, it seems even rough ones go for loads. As for doors, I think every panda owner is after the illusive rust free ones - were not sure if they even exist !!
Might be worth chatting to the panda lot on fiatforum.com, they have knowledge and usually know of parts going, theres also a part on the forum where you can put 'parts wanted' messages

I no that changing a gear box is alot of work but peopl will help me do it. but yes maybe i could get gear box recondition, Good idea :-)

Recondition a Selecta gearbox? I think you will find this is uneconomic - far cheaper to buy a complete Panda Selecta with a good box. They do appear occasionally on Ebay. Or maybe the Punto Selecta(of which there seem to be many on Ebay) gearbox might fit the Panda?

whereabouts are you Kirsty, as i know of a scrapyard with an excellent panda (getting crushed soon, so save what you can). Would have it myself but its over 350 miles away :( email me for quickness :)

there is a punto mk1 selecta box on ebay 170283630842,might be worth asking the seller will it fit yours, there are very knowledgable about fiats

Am I right in thinking they fitted the same box to the Fiesta/Escort and another make too?
Is it a CVT box (rubber bands)?

Auto box fitted to Fiesta is the Uno Selecta/Tipo, double bellhousing type, this is not compatible with the Panda Selecta box.

The belt is the metal link " Toroidal " type.

The OP does not say if the Panda is a 999 or an 1108, the boxes are similar but are not identical.
