The offer is quite simple; they will knock ten percent off of your best quote.

I was very dubious but spent three hours on the net getting a quote for £314.04 for a 2008 Multipla Eleganza from HSBC. (This was a tailored quote, with
business use, protected no claims, legal assistance, courtesy car etc.)
And guess what? They were to their word and quoted me £284.99 which is ten percent bar a quid.

You could do the decent thing and join the forum over there, but the offer is viewable as a guest anyway.

Don't forget Chris Knott is the official FMC insurer. They would probably have matched this for a Club member, and the Club gets commission on any policies taken out too!

Always worth trying them last - I got a cracking deal on the Coupe with them this year £286 fully comp, protected, with business use. Not sure how it got that low, but I'm not complaining - and the Club gets commission.......

Go with Gavin's message, but tell them obviously you'd expect the same deal as the fiatforum members! should cover all the bases!

I can sympathise with those comments. I found them really unhelpful a few years ago, when I had similar problems. I was persuaded to try them again after a rejig in the firm and have found them helpful again recently. Maybe it depends who you speak to?

I was with them for 4yrs, but found the qoute was high, and the admin costs for paying monthly plus the finance putting admin costs on (2 lots of admin!) then a proper breakdown cover after last years `free`
cover fiasco! i went with ensliegh, and still had plenty of cash left to pay for breakdown cover.

I think the point I'm trying to make and haven't really got over very well, is that you simply get your lowest quote and they will do their utmost to beat it by 10 per cent.

Simple as that.

I change insurance companies every year because they are NEVER competitive in the second year. But I've undercut this years renewal by £85. And £30 from my lowest quote.

Won't be the same for everyone I'm sure, especially if maybe you have specialist needs, like alloys, agreed valuations multi car etc, but it can do no harm to give them a bell, surely?
