17 years and still running. Very impressive. I often use your weather station for up to data information and always check this site out at the same time. I think I must have been doing this for about seven years now. It\'s my little bit of internet nostalgia. |

Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks for your immensely brilliant weather site. I use it all the time as I work outside a lot. I need to know when it might rain, and for how long. TV and radio forecasts don't bother with this and that's why I love your site so much. Top work fella! |

Great site, really enjoyed your stories especially about panto. As I've been involved in amatear dramatics myself, it's great to find like minded people. Keep up the good work. |

Hi Martyn, The panto stuff made me laugh (sorry that you were overlooked at the BAFTA's). Guess i must be a very nosey person cos even though i looked around the holidays and background pages, i found myself on the street lamps and storm chasing pages too (and i knew nothing about either subject). What a cool insight into someones life (so far), intersting to see how you became the person i know today. mikey. |

Thanks for the photos of the street lighting. I grew up in Kingswood and have also had a fascination with street lighting (especially mercury discharge lamps) all my life (I thought I was the only one also!). Nice to know I'm not alone! |

I visit Porlock a couple of times a year. I recently got Nokia Sportstracker free software installed on my Nokia N95 phone. The N95 has the built in GPS receiver, 5 Megapixel autofocus Zeiss camera with flash and 3G or Wifi for internet access. I drove up Porlock hill with Sporttracker on and uploaded to http://sportstracker.nokia.com/nts/workoutdetail/index.do?id=21908 Its nice to keep track of interesting walks and trips. I took a circular trip of the Culbone Stone and Caractacus stone but forgot to start Sportstracker at the start of the trip. I did however get photos which I uploaded to Flicr http://www.flickr.com/photos/jpwb/2146603346/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/jpwb/2137578675/ Where the GPS tagging allows you to see where the photos were taken. GPS tagging and upload direct to flickr needs the Shozu software (free)to be installed. |

Hey there! I've just returned from spending the week in Porlock. We stayed at the caravan site which was truly great. I must admit, I am feeling Porlock sick right now. I loved the place so much that I may consider moving there in the future. I loved Porlock Hill - going up and down on the bus is great, but watch out for those tree branches. The lovely hill you see on the right of the bay, we actually climbed to the top last monday though we didn't follow the paths! Just climbed the slope.. anyone see me? the guy with the branch made walking stick! Also walked from Porlock to Minehead- what a mission that was! I miss Porlock |
