The website and the pictures are excellent, and I would like to visit the site in the near future.I have a Christmas display in my large family room and I use a G-Scale Bachmann treain and make all my buildings from scratch. I usually have on display late Nov. Dec. & Jan. I can tell your club is much more soficticated than my display, but would enjoy the tour. VERY EMPRESSIVE LAYOUT1111 |

I've been going to shannondell with the fire company for many years. I'm a active railroad buff and operator of my own garden railroad, just up the road in Eagleville. Would love to visit your club sometime. |

I brought my 2+ yr. old grandson to see the trains right after Christmas (I had been promising all holiday) and we were both sad to discover that the display was not open that weekend. Trusting the generous sign on the door, I asked the concierge to see if someone could come down and open the display for us. Betty Smiley showed up minutes later, followed by Bruce and a gentleman named Paul. They were wonderful to us, and my grandson left in tears when I felt we were about to overstay our welcome. We shall return on the next third Saturday open house - I have promised him, again! How kind you folks were to us. We loved our visit and greatly appreciated the follow-up postcards Betty left in my Mother's (Jennette Lawrence) Shannondell in-house mail box. We are continually impressed with the graciousness of all the folks at Shannondell, and this was one more special example. Thank you for your time and trouble for us. Blessings for a healthy, fulfilling 2009. Jan Lange and Grandson Kieran Lange |
